Course Overview

Out of all the domesticated animals that work in partnership with humans, why is there such an important need for Emergency Pet First Aid & CPR? Pets are curious, perceptive, and sometimes mischievous by their very nature. This behaviour may be attractive to their owners or carers, but it means that they can easily harm themselves by chewing harmful substances or getting injured by exploring unfamiliar areas. In a crisis, they can be taken for treatment to the local veterinarian’s surgery, but they are not an emergency service that can be called to the scene like an ambulance.

If the events in the human world and unexpected animal antics have taught us anything, it’s that the worst-case scenario should always be prepared for. Knowing how to treat your pet after a nasty accident or allergic reaction will give you the peace of mind to know that your pet can be supported appropriately in their time of need. The basic principles of pet first aid are not difficult to learn, and with our expertly written online modules, it will become second nature in no time.

Starting with the fundamentals, the course covers all essential aspects of Emergency Pet First Aid & CPR. From the contents of an animal first aid kit to the different medical conditions you may have to identify before treating their ailments, it’s all here for learning. It also provides details about performing CPR on your pet, bandaging them, preventing infections, and general health and safety advice for them at all stages of their lives.

(Please note that the Emergency Pet First Aid & CPR course provides valuable and appropriate education about the care and treatment of pets. However, it does not offer expert lessons to immediately work as an animal helper or veterinarian in an expert capacity. Always check with prospective employers and animal experts before committing to animal care work.)

I found the courses very informative so far. A care is the first platform I am writing a review for. To the newbies- before taking an online course try to gather some info about the provider, a professional platform with top accreditation will be a good choice.
